COVID-19 Safety Reminders

Updated: Jan 25, 2021

At the Volunteer Lawyers Program, we’re working to contain the spread of COVID-19 while keeping the VLP open for essential business. Here’s a few reminders about how you can help prevent the spread while in the Courthouse and our office.

  • If you’re sick or in quarantine because of exposure to a known case of COVID-19, please do not come to the Courthouse. You can appear for most hearings via Zoom. Instead of coming to the VLP office, consider ordering forms online or applying for VLP support online.

  • Please practice good hygiene by washing your hands frequently and by using hand sanitizer often.

  • Please continue to comply with social distancing measures to the greatest extent practicable in all public areas of the Courthouse. If you come to the VLP office, wait behind the plexiglass for staff member to assist you.

  • Please wear an appropriate mask over your mouth and nose when you are in the Courthouse, unless you are interacting with a judge in a courtroom. Remember that a face shield does not replace a mask.

Thanks for doing your part in keeping everyone safe.
