The VLP is delighted to recognize Courtney Whitten as this month’s V.I.V. – Very Important Volunteer.
Courtney has been practicing law since 2017 with Gerl & Whitten, PLLC. Her primary area of practice is criminal law, but she also assists with landlord-tenant issues. With a background in civil litigation, Courtney has the tools to dig into whatever comes across her desk. She is also working on a direct representation Family Law case for the VLP.
Courtney says she volunteers “because there is a need for civil legal help for those of low income” and it is the “responsibility [of attorneys] to contribute pro bono service.” Courtney uses her unique skill set to give back to the community. In addition to volunteering for the VLP, Courtney volunteers with the Cheney Youth Court.
Thank you for all that you do, Courtney!
